Bayern have paid for just one signing ahe of new season, which starts for m at Borussia Moenchenglbach on Friday, with Nagelsmann's former defender at RB Leipzig Dayot Upamecano joining for a fee of 42.5m Euros (50m USD).

Meanwhile, defending English champions Manchester City have spent £100m (138m USD) on Jack Grealish and Champions League winners Chelsea are on verge of bringing striker Romelu Lukaku back to west London club for a reported fee of £97.5m (135m USD)
Over in France's Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain have signed Lionel Messi from Barcelona on a reported annual wage of 35m Euros after tax (41m USD).

Nagelsmann thinks that German clubs are at a disvantage in transfer market due to German tax regulations and league's 50+1 ownership model which prevents rich backers taking full control of any club.
