New US Soccer CEO and Sec Gen Will Wilson outlines his vision

Newly-installed Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General of the U.S. Soccer Federation, Will Wilson, used his first media opportunity on Tuesday to say that settling a lawsuit filed by women's national team players is the top priority.

Newly-installed Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General of U.S. Soccer Federation, Will Wilson, used his first media opportunity on Tuesday to say that settling a lawsuit filed by women's national team players is top priority.

Players claim y have t been paid equally to men's national team and asked for more than US$ 66 million in dams under Equal Pay Act and Civil Rights Act of 1964. A trial is scheduled for 5th May in federal court in Los Angeles.

In legal papers filed this month ahead of trial, USSF claimed women's team didn't have physical abilities or same responsibilities as men's team.

That sparked a furore that led to resignation of USSF President Carlos Cordeiro and caused federation to change its lead law firm.
