'Neymar is coming to India': Internet explodes as Al Hilal drawn with Mumbai City FC

The AFC Champions League draw has set up a massive match-up for the tournament. The latest draw selections have positioned Saudi Club Al Hilal and India's Mumbai City FC in one group, which will allow both clubs to contest in what could be a massive match-up. The more exciting part is that Neymar Jr., who is now a part of the SPL outfit, will be travelling to India with the team when the tournament commences. It is certainly an exciting update for football fans in India, and they are expressing their delight on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Neymar, Al Hilal to play in India

Today's AFC Champions League draw event selected groups from various pots and had teams like Al Nassr, Al Hilal, Mumbai City FC, Al Hilal, and more. While the Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al Nassr was drafted in Group E, Al Hilal and Mumbai City FC are drawn in the same group alongside Navbahor and FC Nassaji Mazandaran. The group stage matches will also feature a match in India, and Al Hilal could certainly travel to the country for a match.

The fans in India are thrilled that Neymar could come to India for one of the Champions League matches against MCFC.

Why wasn't Al Nassr put alongside MCFC and Al Hilal?

The excitement remains at an all-time high, even though the fans were expecting to see Cristiano Ronaldo in action. But the regulations put a damper on the draws, and only Neymar and Al Hilal will feature in the AFC Champions League.

Two major Saudi Pro League clubs cannot be placed in the same group, and Al-Hilal has already been added to Group D in accordance with the rules and regulations. Al-Nassr ultimately ended up in group E as a result of it.
