Neymar Jr rejects PSG contract extension, sparks rumours of Barcelona return

Neymar Jr was involved in a heated transfer tussle between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona in the summer transfer window. The Brazilian star went public in his attempt to force through a move to former employers — Barcelona. While the rumours had dried up ever since the start of the season, Neymar has reportedly opted against signing a contract extension with the Parisian giants. This has sparked new rumours — will the Brazil captain make his way back to Camp Nou?

Is Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr on his way back to LaLiga?

Just three months into the 2019-20 season, Brazil's Neymar Jr has made the headlines once again in another shrouded attempt to push for a move to Barcelona. Neymar was the subject of multiple bids made by Barcelona during the summer but remained at Paris Saint-Germain. After being dropped from the squad initially due to the transfer attempts, Neymar slowly forced his way back into the PSG starting 11, scoring a crucial goal in his first match of the season.

However, after suffering yet another injury during his time with the Brazil national team, the forward has been out of training for a month now. Reports in popular media outlet AS, stated that Neymar has turned down PSG's approach to extend his current contract which runs to 2022. Will Neymar Jr be at Camp Nou next summer or will he remain put in Paris for another season?
