Neymar overtakes Ronaldo to become Brazil's second-highest scorer after hat-trick vs Peru

Brazil superstar Neymar overtook Ronaldo as the second-highest goalscorer for his country after netting a hat-trick against Peru in the World Cup Qualifier.

Brazil superstar Neymar Jr was in fine form against Peru on Matchday 2 of 2022 World Cup Qualifier.  Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) ace scored thrice to guide his side to a second victory in as many games. With hat-trick, Neymar has w become second-highest goalscorer for national team, overtaking Ronaldo Nazario in process.

Neymar equalised from spot in 28th minute, followed by ar spot-kick in second half. former Barcelona man rounded off his hat-trick for Brazil vs Peru after scoring in injury-time. 

With hat-trick for Brazil vs Peru, Neymar has w overtaken Ronaldo to become second-highest goalscorer in history of national team. 28-year-old has w racked up 64 goals, managing feat in 103 appearances. Ronaldo scored 62 goals for Brazil, although in 98 games.
