How Spain won their 4th European Championship?

Spain came out firing in the second half as in just the second minute since resumption of the game, Lamine Yamal caught England napping and put a great pass to Nico Williams inside the box on the other flank. Nico Williams held his nerve and calmly slotted in the ball into the bottom corner to hand Spain the advantage.

Spain weren’t settling after going ahead, they were still dominating the possession and had three really good chances to make it 2-0 inside the first hour. Dani Olmo shot one wide, Alvaro Morata shot one off target without any power, and Nico Williams came the closest as his long range effort went whiskers wide.

However, England equalised in the 73rd minute with a fantastic long range effort by Cole Palmer in the 73rd minute. It looked like England were once again going to bounce back and win a game they didn’t deserve to win. But it wasn’t meant to be this time as Spain never stopped believing and never stopped attacking and got their reward through Mikel Oyarzabal.

The first half was a very cautious affair as both England and Spain played with a lot of mutual respect for each other. While, Spain had the most of possession and the better chances in the first half they failed to find the final ball to threaten England’s goal.

The game was played at a good tempo in the first 45 minutes. With both teams having decent looks but none of the team failed to capitalise. Spain had a penalty shout as they thought Declan Rice grappled Aymeric Laporte inside the box. But the referee was having none of it.
