Manchester United forward Paul Pogba sent out a strong emotional message against racial discrimination amid racial attacks from fans in the English Premier League. The French national was subjected to racial discrimination on multiple occasions in England as he played for Manchester United and has stringently opposed the attacks based on colour or race. Apart from Paul Pogba, other African and dark-skinned players are also subjected to racial discrimination from the hostile English crowds.

Paul Pogba has a strong message against racial discrimination

Taking to Twitter, Paul Pogba posted an inspirational message that motivated him to fight back against racism. Pogba posted a picture of his son and himself standing in front of his late father Fassou Antoine and Martin Luther King Jr's photo and captioned the photo with a line that indicated the struggle of the Africans to ensure equal treatment in the society and to overcome racial discrimination. Paul Pogba said that his ancestors and parents fought for the current generation to have the freedom to work, use daily amenities and play games without being troubled. Fourth racial attack in two weeks

On Saturday, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said people who post racist abuse on social media "hide behind fake identities". Pogba's team-mate Marcus Rashford was targeted online after missing a penalty in United's shock home Premier League defeat by Crystal Palace on Saturday. It's the fourth racism incident in two weeks - Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham and Reading's Yakou Meite both received racist messages online after missing penalties in their teams' most recent matches. Twitter said it will meet any stakeholders to show the "proactive work" being done to tackle abuse.
