Manchester United will host Arsenal for their Premier League 2019-20 clash on October 1 at Old Trafford. Former Premier League giants have recently struggled in the past years to find their form and now fighting for their place to make it to the top 4. United are currently on the 11th position with eight points, and Unai Emery's team has held the eighth position with 11 points in six games so far.

Manchester United vs Arsenal: Match Preview

Manchester United have not lost their last 12 matches against Arsenal at Old Trafford (W8 D4 L0), their recent defeat came in September 2006. Gunners are looking to grab consecutive Premier League wins over United for the first time since winning the 2006-06 campaign. Unai Emery-led side has conceded three penalties in each of their last four Premier League games and could become just the sixth side in the competition's history to see a penalty awarded in five successive games.

Manchester United have won the most (4), and Gunners have conceded the most (3) penalties in the Premier League 2019-20. Ole Gunnar Solskjær's side has lost three of their last Premier League home games (W2 D1), the same number of matches they lost in their previous 52 at Old Trafford (W32 D17 L3). The Red Devils' last home defeat in the Premier League came against a London club (1-2 vs Crystal Palace). The Gunners have conceded at least twice in each of their last four Premier League games.

Solskjaer lost his first Premier League game against Arsenal as Manchester United's manager. Only three Manchester United managers lost their first two league matches against the Gunners, James West (1900), Tommy Docherty (1973) and Dave Sexton (1977). Jesse Lingard has netted four goals against Arsenal in all competitions, more than he has scored against any other side. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored 13 goals in his last 13 starts for Arsenal in the Premier League.
