Did you know that Arsenal are currently enjoying an unbeaten home record that stretches back to 17 years? Arsenal play hosts to Crystal Palace this Premier League weekend, as they gear up to face the Eagles at the Emirates. In the game against Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace, Arsenal will be defending an unbeaten home record in the month of October. The Gunners last lost at home in October way back in 2002, when Blackburn Rovers emerged 2-1 winners at Highbury.
While the month of Halloween has been productive for some teams, it has also proven to be a jinx for others. However, October is the month that Gunners' fans will be looking forward to the most since Arsenal average 2.11 points per game in the month. Here's a look at the best and the worst months for the top six clubs playing in the Premier League this season.
Premier League Top Six
No points for guessing Arsenal's best month in the Premier League every season. October is, however, followed by Arsenal's worst month in the Premier League. Perhaps surprisingly, Arsenal's average of 2.11 points per game drops dramatically down to 1.59 points per game in the month of November. Arsenal's North London rivals Tottenham have February to thank for. Spurs average 1.72 points per game in February, while September sees them slow down to 1.42 points per game.
Manchester United boast of an impressive average of 2.25 points per game in the month of February, while May is their worst month. League leaders Liverpool have March as their best month, as the Reds average 2.02 points per game. However, Liverpool have navigated through their worst month this season, as the Reds won all their Premier League games in September. Chelsea average 2.14 points in the month of August, February, however, proves to be a tricky time for the Blues, with an average of 1.69 points per game. Second-placed Manchester City enjoy a decent run in August, while March is their worst month with an average of 1.39 points per game.
