Matchday 11 of Premier League 2019-20 starts on Saturday and in one of the games, defending champions Manchester City will host Southampton at the Etihad Stadium. Man City are currently on the second spot with 22 points in 10 games. They have seven wins and two losses so far this season (Draw 1). As for Southampton, they are in the relegation zone with just two wins this season. Ralph Hasenhüttl's side have banked eight points so far. The match is scheduled on November 2, 2019, 8:30 PM (IST).

Manchester City vs Southampton: Match Preview

Manchester City have a 100 per cent record in their previous five Premier League meetings against Southampton. The Saints have not clinched a Premier League win at Etihad since April 2004. Southampton have failed to seal a win in their last eight clashes against the Blues of Manchester (D1 L7). The Sergio Aguero-led side has scored the highest number of goals this season (32) and Southampton have conceded the most this season (25).

Manchester City registered the biggest home win of the season (8-0) and the Saints have suffered the biggest loss of the season (0-9). Manchester City have only shared the spoils in only one of their last 40 Premier League games (Win 33 Loss 6). Southampton have only won two games this season and both of them came while they were on road. Raheem Sterling has directly contributed in eight goals in his last five appearances against Southampton for Liverpool and Manchester City combined (4 assists, 4 goals).
