Matchweek 8 of the Premier League 2019-20 season turned out to be one of the most unpredictable weekends in the English top-flight this season. There were some unforeseen results over the weekend, especially with respect to both Manchester cubs who lost to lower-ranked Premier League clubs - Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Mauricio Pochetinno’s Tottenham Hotspur also suffered yet another defeat at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday. Meanwhile, Liverpool maintained their perfect season as they beat Leicester City courtesy of a last-minute penalty winner by veteran midfielder - James Milner. Premier League: Aaron Connolly scores brace as Brighton down Tottenham Hotspur
19-year old Aaron Connolly opened his Premier League account when he scored a brace against Tottenham Hotspur at the Amex Stadium on Saturday. After striker Neal Maupay scored in the opening minutes, Spurs skipper Hugo Lloris suffered an injury and was replaced on the field by Paulo Gazzaniga in the eighth minute. Tottenham are now ninth in the Premier League table. Will they make it into the top four?
Premier League: Defending champions suffer shock 0-2 loss to Wolves at the Etihad
Manchester City were handed a major blow as they suffered a shock 0-2 defeat to Wolves at the Etihad Stadium. A sublime brace from Adama Traore, who got the better of Nicolas Otamendi the entire 90', was enough for Nuno Espirito Sanches' side to claim back-to-back away wins in all competitions. Man City now trail league leaders Liverpool by eight points. Is the Premier League title race over already?
