Premier League club Manchester United are planning to send four to five young players out on loan in the January 2020 transfer window, according to latest British media reports. The club's academy player performance manager Les Parry has also hinted at the same. Academy players like Mason Greenwood and Axel Tuanzebe have been given some game time by the club's manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. This was done to cover up the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan and Chris Smalling to AS Roma as the Premier League side is going through a rough patch this season.

Man Utd's prospective departures
Angel Gomes is the youngest player to represent Manchester United since Duncan Edwards in 1953, as well as the first player born in the 2000s to appear in the Premier League. He plays as an attacking midfielder. Tahith Chong plays on the right wing. In October, the Dutchman was named as an unused substitute for the first time in United's 1–0 defeat to Juventus in the Champions League. Chong made his Premier League debut on 2 March 2019, replacing Marcus Rashford during injury time in United's 3–2 win over Southampton. James Garner plays as a midfielder. On 27 February 2019, he made his first-team debut, coming on as a 90th-minute substitute for Fred in a 3–1 win away against Crystal Palace. On 15 March this year, Garner signed a contract extension, keeping him at United until June 2022 with an option to extend his contract for another year.

Mason Greenwood made his first start for Manchester United in 2019 in a UEFA Europa League match against Astana. He scored in that match to become the club's youngest ever goalscorer in the European competition at the age of 17 years and 353 days. On 29 January 2017, Tuanzebe made his Manchester United debut as a 68th-minute substitute, replacing Timothy Fosu-Mensah during their 4–0 FA Cup victory over Wigan Athletic at Old Trafford. Tuanzebe's preferred position is at the centre-back, but he can also play as a right back and a holding midfielder.
