Wolves pulled off a surprising win over defending Premier League champions Manchester City and this may just have boosted Liverpool's Premier League title chase. Pep Guardiola's Man City lost their second match of the Premier League 2019-20 season and helped Liverpool's lead to increase to eight points. Manchester City's star player Kevin de Bryune was missing from the clash when they hosted Wolves on matchday 8. Unforced errors and constant pressing from Nuno Espírito Santo's side led to Man City losing at the Etihad Stadium.
Adama Traore's late brace inspired Wolves to a 0-2 away win against Man City and helped his side climb to the 11th-spot in the Premier League table. Mexico's superstar Raul Jimenez provided Traore with both the assists to sink Manchester City. The defending Premier League champions looked to be struggling as they made early errors to hand Wolves some much-needed momentum.
