Raul Jimenez injury update: Wolves striker is all set to return home next week following as he continues to recover post-surgery after a skull fracture.

Wolverhampton Wanderers were delivered a major blow last weekend when talismanic striker Raul Jimenez was taken off on a stretcher following a clash of heads with Arsenal's David Luiz. While Brazilian came out majorly unscad, sporting a band across his forehead, his Mexican opponent took fall for it and had to be provided with oxygen as 29-year-old was hurriedly taken for an operation. Wolves later released a statement that Jimenez had a cracked skull and had undergone surgery on Sunday.

Wolves doctor Matt Perry has provided an update on Raul Jimenez skull fracture in an official statement on club's website. Perry claimed that 29-year-old had been recovering well in hospital and had made excellent progress. statement furr read that while Mexican international is still hospitalized, he could return home early next week. Due to coronavirus protocols, Jimenez has t seen his partner or his daughter since Sunday night, day he got operated.

Just five minutes into Arsenal vs Wolves clash at Emirates, David Luiz and Raul Jimenez clashed ir heads as both players collapsed to pitch. While Luiz was backup, Jimenez was struggling and received onfield treatment as game was stopped for 10 minutes. Mexican, in end, was taken to trauma centre where he responded to treatment, before his subsequent surgery. Luiz, on or hand, suffered seven stitches from clash of heads, but was back on pitch with a bloodied band across his forehead.

When will Raul Jimenez return?
However, Wolves doctor refrained from naming a time frame for Raul Jimenez's return. Perry said that blow is complex and timescales are uncertain but maintained that 29-year-old needs , rest and peace. Wolves doctor also did t divulge into extent of striker's injury, respecting his privacy as he recovers from surgery. Perry revealed that Raul and his family are very thankful for privacy y have been given, and for overwhelming support y have felt from football family and beyond. Jimenez had anunced his intentions to return to pitch as soon as he can, thanking his followers on Twitter just hours after his surgery.
