“Dani Carvajal has suffered a serious knee injury. We’re all very sad”.
The Euro 2024 winner Carvajal is the most recent addition to Real Madrid's already long list of players out with major injuries since the start of last season. Former winger Lucas Vázquez, who had been the team's backup right-back, was replaced.
Carvajal adds to his colleagues David Alaba, Thibaut Courtois, Brahim Díaz, Dani Ceballos, and rising star Joan Martínez currently on the injured list. Once Los Blancos starts playing after the international break, the defender is expected to missthe rest of the season.
