Real Madrid Set New 'Financial Record', First Of Its Kind In The History Of Football

Real Madrid the eternal kings of Europe has now set a new financial record which marks the first time a club has achieved this feet in football history.

Spanish giants, Real Madrid the 15 time Champions League winners and the 36 time La Liga winners have set a new ‘financial record’ that no other club has ever achieved in world football. 

There remains no doubt that ever since Covid 19, Real Madrid have managed their finances exceptionally well compared to various big Spanish clubs and other clubs in Europe and as a result their strong financial record has been rewarded with a first of its kind record.

Real Madrid's new Financial Record 

Real Madrid have in an official statement announced that they have generated more than 1 Billion Euros in terms of revenue from their 2023-24 season where they won did the double of La Liga and Champions League. 

This makes Real Madrid the first ever club in history of football to earn a revenue of more than a Billion Euros in a single season. Real Madrid revealed that it generated a total revenue of 1.07 Billion Euros in 2023-24 without counting transfers.

This means Los Blancos witnessed a 27% increase in revenue compared to the previous season of 2022-23. This goes on to show that Real Madrid's financial model in the past 5 years and especially since the Covid-19 pandemic has been a huge success that has stabilised the club for future and keeps them competing financially with the likes of state backed clubs like PSG and Manchester City.

Reason behind Real Madrid's Billion Dollar Revenue 

Real Madrid were in financial trouble back in 2020-21 when they did not sign a single player and their president Florentino Perez was pushing for the breakaway European Super League. However, despite the struggles Real Madrid managed to turn a profit in Covid as well.

However, the biggest source of Real Madrid's revenue is cited to be its revamped Santiago Bernabeu stadium, a project which cost around 300 Million Euros for Los Blancos but is expected to rake in a Billion dollars annually due to multiple concerts and sporting events being held there.
