Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic has been criticised after he flew down to Serbia, breaching the self-quarantine guidelines set out by Spanish authorities.

Luka Jovic was recently spotted in Belgrade, Serbia away from self-quarantine in Spain. Amid growing number of cases, residents of Spain were asked to stay at home in city and to avoid leaving country. However, striker’s decision to go to Serbia has been criticised in his home country.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic went to extent of criticising se players for setting a bad precedent for rest of population. She claimed that country has seen negative examples of football stars who get paid in millions and were igring mandatory self-isolation upon returning home. Serbia’s Informer newspaper slammed Luka Jovic. newspaper termed striker’s act ‘stupid.’
