Roy Keane says he would 'kill' David de Gea for howler against Everton in 1-1 draw

Roy Keane lashed out at the current Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea after his howler in the opening minutes gave Everton the lead in the match.

Manchester United's surge towards claiming fourth and final Champions League spot was dealt a major blow after Red Devils dropped points, following 1-1 draw against Everton over weekend. Following draw, former Manchester United legend Roy Keane lashed out at current Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea after his mistake saw Everton take lead. He even claimed that he would have 'killed' him for his howler.

David de Gea howler happened during opening minutes of match. De Gea had collected a pass from Harry Maguire and was all set to launch a long ball forward to launch a United attack. But after hesitating inside penalty area, David de Gea eventual clearance deflected off Calvert-Lewin feet and rolled back into net. David de Gea howler made him  goalkeeper with joint-most mistakes leading to goals in top flight.

Roy Keane, during Sky Sports cover, was quoted as saying: "Wher I was a player or a manr, I'd have killed him. What is De Gea waiting for? It's crazy. re's almost a bit of arrogance to him. I would have lynched him at half time. re are excuses." Keane added that se are huge moments for United in terms of trying to get into top four.

Along with De Gea, Roy Keane also opted to slam Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, for his role in United's equaliser. visitors levelled series through Bru Fernandes, whose shot went underneath hands of Jordan Pickford. Roy Keane said that Everton are trying to be smart, but he kws Pickford is t a good goalkeeper.
