Supporters voiced their dissatisfaction on X following Al-Nassr's 1-0 loss against Portimonense in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo. The two clubs competed in a pre-season exhibition match at the Estadio Municipal de Portimao on Wednesday, July 24th.

The  Cristiano Ronaldo-led team have had difficulties in the absence of their captain, who is presently on holiday with his family subsequent to his involvement in Euro 2024 representing Portugal. The 39-year-old is anticipated to reunite with his fellow players at their training camp in Marbella, Spain, at the beginning of August.

Al-Nassr has not yet achieved a victory in their pre-season friendly matches, as they have only managed to draw 1-1 against both Louletano DC and SC Farense. They suffered their initial defeat of the summer against Portimonense, a team that was demoted from Portugal's premier division previous season.
