Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay hoped to be back on the field as soon as possible after suffering an ankle injury in Manchester United's 3-1 over Brighton on November 10. The midfielder who has been crucial in United's resurgence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, after turning over on his ankle in injury time and had to be treated in the technical area by the club's medical staff before being carried down the tunnel.

'Hope to be back on the field as soon as possible'

The 22-year-old midfielder was sidelined for Scotland's upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers after undergoing a scan to determine the extent of his injuries. However, there has been no official update regarding McTominay's injury by the club, McTominay posted an update on his official Instagram handle after the match against Brighton wherein he was officially awarded the second goal of the match after it was initially thought of as an own goal.

In the picture he posted on Instagram, he mentioned in the caption that he was working very hard to be back on the pitch to help his team win more matches.

Scott Mctominay has been a Manchester United player from the start, joining the club academy at the age of 9 and earning his place in the first team through pure talent.

Mctominay has become a crucial part of the team's midfield as the Scottish player has showcased a lot of convincing displays in the past few matches. He showed his worth during the 2-1 Carabao Cup win against Chelsea on October 30.

McTominay also booked himself a yellow card as he rammed into Mateo Kovacic as his towering presence helped him recover the ball from the Chelsea player. He dominated the midfield, used the breaks to instruct his fellow teammates as United cranked up the pressure on Frank Lampard's Chelsea.
