Manchester City and Argentina's striker Sergio Aguero met with a minor car accident on Wednesday. However, according to a leading British media, Aguero was declared safe. The Argentine striker did not undergo any medical treatment and is likely to feature for Manchester City in their next Premier League clash against Crystal Palace. Aguero did not travel with the Argentina national team during the international break but attended City's training at the City Football Academy this week.

Aguero ready for next week's clash

Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni talked about Aguero at a pre-match press conference and informed that Aguero missed his International duties due to an injury, which has also affected his training for Manchester City. Aguero was out of play for two weeks when he got involved in a car crash two years ago in Amsterdam. Manchester City, who are currently second in the Premier League 2019-20 table, have some news to cheer about as their key players Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones – who were suffering from groin and thigh injuries respectively – are back in the training at the City Football Academy.

In Manchester City's eight matches so far this season, they have managed to win five of those (Loss 2, Draw 1). They are eight points behind the table-toppers Liverpool (24) and will have to push the gas if they wish to clinch their hat-trick of Premier League trophies. Belgium's De Bruyne has not appeared in City's last two games and with the absence of Stones and Laporte, coach Pep Guardiola has been forced to opt for Fernandinho in the centre-back position.
