Sevilla DoF Monchi ‘cannot believe’ Man Utd don’t have a sporting director for transfers
While speaking to the press, Sevilla Director of Football Monchi admitted that he is surprised there is no Man Untied DoF in place to mastermind transfers.

Manchester United have been heavily criticized for ir performance in transfer market this season. Red Devils have mand to bring in only Donny van de Beek from Ajax while failing to strengn like ir Premier League rivals. While club has been linked with several players such as Jon Sancho, Gareth Bale and Thiago amongst ors, Manchester United have failed to complete any of those deals.

Monchi, who has been credited with Sevilla’s recent success also discussed importance of having a Director of Football in today’s times.

Sevilla’s Monchi surprised re is Man United DoF
Speaking to Telegraph in an exclusive interview, Sevilla DoF Monchi said that he feels every club should have a Director of Football. Sevilla maestro explained that main function of a Director of Football is to dedicate time to everything that is important at a sporting level. Sharing an example, Monchi expounded that when 60-70 per cent of budget is allocated to first team, it becomes very difficult to understand it if re is specialist.

Expounding on his role furr, Monchi stated that a DoF acts as a link between various departments of a football club, such as technical staff, squ and board. Sevilla chief also mitted that since y get a lot of information from scouts, y kw transfer market well. Monchi praised clubs like Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester City for having a well-developed sporting manment structure, as he mitted that he can’t believe that a club of Man United's stature doesn’t have a Director of Football.
