Sir Alex Ferguson erupts in celebration after horse racing win

Manchester United's legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson was pictured celebrating after his horse, Give Me A Copper, won the Badger Beers Silver trophy.

Badger Beers Silver Trophy at Wincanton provided a special victory for Sir Alex Ferguson. Manchester United's legendary former manr was out celebrating this weekend, and it was t because of Man United's 3-1 win over Brighton. Before United would go on to register ir fourth win in Premier League, Sir Alex Ferguson was rejoicing at Wincanton racecourse.

Sir Alex Ferguson's jubilant celebrations

Sir Alex Ferguson, who dominated Premier League during his time with Manchester United was pictured celebrating at racecourse as his horse 'Give Me A Copper' raced to a win at Wincanton to secure Badger Beers Silver Trophy. Ferguson's horse, 'Give Me A Copper', was second-favourite to win race. Give Me A Copper was backed 5-1 for win and won race donning famous red of Manchester United.

It was clear that Manchester United's recent form had effect on Fergusons' chestnut horse, Give Me A Copper. horse fended off a late charge from race-favourite Soupy Soups to win race. Ferguson, who is part-owner of horse, was attending his first race at Wincanton, despite being a racing fan who has been retired for a little over six years.

Speaking after Give Me A Copper's win, Manchester United legend went on to say that a win like one on weekend, and excitement at end of race cant be beaten. Ferguson also went on to say that Give Me A Copper's trainer Paul Nicholls likened chestnut horse to one of his football players, considering that horse had a few niggles to battle early on. Give Me A Copper's win could see Sir Alex Ferguson celebrating once again next year, as his horse is w considered a genuine contender for  Grand National in April.
