Six Barcelona board members resign as Josep Bartomeu restructures club hierarchy
A total of six Barcelona board members handed in their resignations as per an official club statement. Josep Bartomeu announced major changes in club hierarchy.

Barcelona seem to have been hit badly by coronavirus crisis after six board members stepped down from ir respective positions this week.

Maria Teixidor, Jordi Calsamiglia, Enrique Tombas, Silvio Elías and Josep Pont were some of big-name officials who stepped down from Barcelona board. club statement read " Board of Directors have approved appointment of Jordi Moix, as Vice President for Ecomics and Equity; Pau Vilava, as institutional vice president; Oriol Tomas, as Vice President of Commercial Area; Marta Plana, as Secretary of Board of Directors; and David Bellver, as treasurer. Javier Bordas will be manr responsible for football first team, while Xavier Vilajoana will be in charge of Barca B, youth teams and women's football. executives responsible for Compliance Committee will be Secretary of Board, Marta Plana, and treasurer, David Bellver, while Joan Blade in addition to continuing to be responsible for basketball teams, will be responsible for Control and Transparency Committee."

In addition to this, Barcelona also released an official statement stating that y will take legal action against former vice-president Emili Rossaud (also resigned) who made some controversial allegations against club in a recent interview. Rossaud accused Barcelona board of stealing money and accepting bribes in interview. club was quoted as saying "In face of serious and unfounded allegations made by Mr Emili Rousaud, FC Barcelona categorically denies any action that could be described as corruption."
