As soon as Son scored his first goal, he appeared to pray for injured Everton midfielder as he went towards camera lens. He joined hands in front of camera. gesture was aimed at Andre Gomes. Talking to press after match, Son explained that he didn’t want to celebrate because he wants to respect situation. Tottenham forward stated that he still feels sorry about situation. He ded that it'd been a few days and he wished Andre Gomes a speedy recovery.

Gomes h undergone a surgery on Monday, vember 4 which reportedly went well. Portugal international was making his first public comments after heartbreaking incident.
