Spanish Super Cup: Real Madrid, Barcelona to earn €6.5 million; Valencia unhappy
Spanish Super Cup: Luis Rubiales, President of the Spanish Football Federation, stated that the said prize money was initially agreed by Anil Murthy himself.

Supercopa de Espana officials recently released schedules and dates of competition. Real Madrid will be playing Valencia on January 1, 2019, and Barcelona will be up against Atletico Madrid on January 9, 2019. According to reports, Barcelona and Real Madrid will be making €6.5 million to participate in competition. While or teams like Valencia have just been guaranteed €2.5 million to participate in newly formed concept of Supercopa de Espana in January. According to reports, Valencia have raised a complaint about uneven distribution of participation fee, with or Spanish giants guaranteed to earn much more.

president of Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, informed that said prize money was initially agreed by Anil Murthy (Valencia's president) himself during a dinner in Mallorca. Rubiales stated in an interview that it is strange to receive complaints from Anil Murthy when he himself asked for €1.5 million to participate in competition over dinner. Luis furr explained break down of prize money and said that it is broken down in three parts. first ( €800k) is awarded for participating in tournament. second is determined by how well teams do in tournament. third is determined by previous hours won by club, in which Valencia will earn €1.7 million compared to Real Madrid's €6 million.
