Goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen's heroics helped Barcelona defeat Real Sociedad in the Spanish Super Cup, after their first penalty shootout since 1998.

Spanish giants Barcelona were kcked out of Spanish Super Cup semi-final by Atletico Madrid last season, resulting in sacking of Ernesto Valverde. But Blaugrana made mistake this time around when y came up against Real Sociedad. Ronald Koeman's men, despite a decent performance in game, went on to win tie-breaker, courtesy of Marc-Andre ter Stegen's heroics between sticks.
