Fans react to Cristiano Ronaldo’s heroic goal against Al-Shabab in the last minute of the game

After his incredible performance vs Al-Shabab in the Saudi Pro League, Cristiano Ronaldo has been praised by supporters; some even name him the best player of all time. Ronaldo's extraordinary performance has generated a lot of praise, therefore confirming his reputation as a football superstar and a player of unmatched ability and influence at such an age.

Once again proving his key importance for Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo rose to the challenge on Friday, the Portuguese star turned a last-minute penalty into a crucial win for his club. Al-Shabab had an opportunity to level shortly after but missed converting their own penalty, therefore guaranteeing Al-Nassr's victory.

Al-Nassr, following the leaders Al-Hilal, continues in the hunt for the Saudi Pro League championship victorious. Al-Shabab was a challenging opponent only two points behind, and Al-Nassr needed this victory to stay competitive, and Ronaldo made sure they did.

Both teams created little possibilities, hence the first half was fiercely contested. Aymeric Laporte handed Al-Nassr the lead in the 69th minute; he scored a perfect left-footed effort after a corner kick that resulted in a box scramble.

Al-Nassr's lead proved temporary, however. Trying to stop a cross from Nawaf Al-Sadi, replacement Ali Al-Hassan unintentionally dropped the ball into his own goal in the 90th minute, levelling the score for Al-Shabab.

Al-Nassr persisted on for a winning goal even with the late equaliser. Their tenacity paid off when Abdulrahman Ghareeb was fouled in the area during stoppage time, drawing a penalty. Real to form, Ronaldo boldly turned the spot-kick and went on to score his 907th career goal the most by any in the world football history.

Al-Shabab launched one more effort just when the game looked to be fading, drawing a penalty after a VAR review.

By a strange turn of events, Al-Shabab's Abderrazak Hamdallah missed the post with his penalty and failed to emulate Ronaldo's accomplishment. Al-Nassr was able to enjoy their triumph and land a hard-earned win thanks to their star captain Cristiano Ronaldo.

Having won all seven of their games, Al-Hilal leads the Saudi Pro League with 21 points at the moment. They beat Al Feiha a convincing 3-0. With 17 points, Al-Nassr currently ranks second; closely followed by Karim Benzema's Al-Ittihad with 15 points, who have a game against Al Qadisiya.
