The player has been phenomenal for his side this season, having bagged seven goals in 10 Ligue 1 appearances and four goals in four Champions League matches so far. However, in his last spell in England, Depay scored just two league goals in 33 appearances for the Old Trafford side. The reports in England claim that Tottenham have been constantly tracking the French side for some time to keep tabs on the Dutchman as well as his teammate Moussa Dembele. His quick return to form has attracted the interest of Mauricio Pochettino and the manager is reportedly ready to lure him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the January transfer window.

Depay has so far scored 50 goals and provided 42 assists throughout his time at the Groupama Stadium. Depay had signed for Manchester United from PSV in 2015. However, the player moved to Lyon in 2017 following his bad stint at the Old Trafford, along with lack of playing time.
