Barcelona and Inter Milan played a thrilling encounter at Camp Nou on Matchday 2 of the UEFA Champions League 2019-20 season. Lionel Messi started for Barcelona against Inter Milan and former Barcelona player Alexis Sanchez made his second appearance for Inter Milan and looked in great shape compared to his previous spell at Manchester United. Antonio Conte entered the match with a cent per cent record in Serie A, whereas, Barcelona look to be struggling in LaLiga so far with two losses already to their name.

Inter Milan entered the competition on a positive note, all credits to their stunning season so far. Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez slotted home the opener in the early minutes of the game to hand his side a dream start at Camp Nou. The visitors then took a step behind as they moved defensively to let the home-side enter their territory in search of the equaliser. Antonio Conte's men were looking lethal in their counter-attacks but Barcelona somehow managed to deny them their second goal. Ter Stegen stretched far enough to deny Martinez's dangerous header.

Luis Suarez turned the match in the second half and silenced his critics with two wonderful strikes. The Barcelona striker displayed a classic moment as he scored a brilliant volley into Inter's net in the 58th minute. Valverde's side gained momentum after the equaliser and started breaking Inter's defence more. Lionel Messi set-up Suarez with a brilliant move and the striker managed to beat Inter Milan goalkeeper Handanovic for the second time in the game. And that was it from the match, as Barcelona hustled their way to victory and bagged three points on UEFA Champions League 2019-20 matchday two.
