UEFA Champions League: Real Madrid salvage draw against Club Brugge

Real Madrid hosted Belgian side Club Brugge in their Matchday 2 of UEFA Champions League 2019-20. Both the teams settled for a 2-2 draw at the Bernabeu Stadium.

Real Mrid survived a scare against Belgium side Club Brugge as Zinedine Zidane's men came back from two goals down to draw match 2-2 in UEFA Champions League group st. Mrid h bounced back strongly after ir 3-0 loss against PSG and won in back-to-back two LaLiga games, however, to everyone's surprise, Belgium side performed pretty well to hold 13-time Champions League winners.

Real Mrid vs Club Brugge: First half

Mrid received an early shock in game as it took only nine minutes to Club Brugge to open ir account in Bernabeu. Emmanuel Dennis' goal was initially disallowed by line referee but VAR confirmed goal and visitors drew first blood on  Spanish soil. After first goal, Belgian side started exposing Mrid's defence more as  Zidane's team looked desperate to find an equaliser.

Los Blancos were rushing into Club Brugge's half in search of a goal. Eden Hazard and Karim Benzema mand to trouble Miglet on some occasions but failed to find net. Club Brugge were looking dangerous in ir counter-attacks and mand to create a lot of critical chances. Dennis silenced home crowd yet again when he slotted second goal for visitors off Luka Modric's error on 39th minute. Croatian gave ball away straight to Dennis and striker hustled his way to beat Courtois for second time before first half. Mrid responded with a series of crosses into box, but visitors held ir ground strongly till end of first half.

Real Mrid vs Club Brugge: Second half

Zidane me two changes at start of second half as Areola came in for struggling Courtois and left-back Marcelo replaced Nacho. Mrid looked optimistic from starting minutes of second half. Benzema worked his way through a crowd of defenders in left channel of  Brugge box but failed to make final pass to set his teammate up. However, Mrid gave ir supporters something to look out for on 55th minute as skipper Sergio Ramos pulled one for hosts with a stunning heer.

Mrid looked motivated from captain's goal and completely dominated second half as y marched towards visitors with full force. Vinicius Jr replaced Vazquez at 67th minute and move ded some pace for hosts. Ruud Vormer saw a red card at 84th minute for a mistimed challenge on Vinicius and got booked for second time. Casemiro capitalised from a set-piece following red card and heed home equaliser. However, Philippe Clement's held ir nerves and held Mrid for a 2-2 draw.
