UEFA Champions League: Spurs boosted by Le Celso's return from injury

Tottenham received a major boost ahead of their Champions League group stage clash against Red Star Belgrade with Giovani Lo Celso returning from a hip injury.

Giovani Le Celso is set to be back for Tottenham Hotspur's UEFA Champions League clash at home against Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday. Le Celso and Ryan Sessegn haven’t started for Spurs since joining in summer. British media reports claim that Le Celso has resumed training with team.

Hip Injury

Argentine midfielder is in contention for his first appearance after being out for two months due to a hip injury, giving Spurs a huge boost in ir attempt to claim ir first win in Group B. Le Celso came on as a substitute in a few games but hurt his hip in previous international break. He made three substitute appearances earlier in season against Manchester City, Newcastle and Arsenal. attacking midfielder could provide team with more attacking impetus.

Le Celso, a summer loan signing from Real Betis, returned to training last week along with Ryan Sessegn. Spurs manr Mauricio Pochetti has confirmed that one of two players would be ready for Champions League match. Spurs have endured a difficult Champions League campaign this season. Premier League would want to turn things around with ir clash against Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 12.30 am (IST).

Hence, return of Le Celso will prove to be a major boost for Spurs.
