'Show On The Pitch': Vinicius Jr Sends Wake Up Call To Real Madrid Teammates After Slow Start
Post Real Madrid's slow start in La Liga, star player Vinicius Jr has sent a wake up call to his teammates to improve their performance.
Real Madrid have endured a slow start to their La Liga campaign after shockingly drawing the first game against Mallorca. Despite beating Real Valladolid 3-0 over the weekend at home in Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid's performance was from convincing by their standards.
Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr acknowledged the team's slow start and has sent a wake up call to his teammates if they want to fight for all the titles as the season progresses.
Vinicius Jr's message to Real Madrid teammates
Real Madrid have only played three games this season, 2 in La Liga and one in the UEFA Super Cup. They beat Atalanta 2-0 to win the Super Cup but were held by Mallorca in the first La Liga game. Real Madrid currently sit 5th in La Liga with 4 points after two games.
Given their slow start, Vinicius Jr came out and accepted responsibility. He made it clear to him and his teammates that despite having the best squad they need to prove their worth on the pitch.
“We might have one of the best teams for the next decade, and now, we have to show on the pitch that we can perform,” said Vinicius Jr in his interview with CNN.
Vinicius Jr further revealed that he takes the responsibility of bringing Real Madrid more titles each time he plays.
“I, along with my teammates, each time, each game we play, we can get closer to winning Real Madrid more titles,” said Vinicius Jr to CNN.

Real Madrid aims to win the Treble
Vinicius Jr further revealed that their target for the season is clear - to win the treble.
Real Madrid have never won the treble in their history despite all their dominance in Champions League. Vinicius Jr has pointed out that they lose their momentum for a treble in the Copa Del Rey.
“Our goal now is to win the treble…The Copa del Rey always throws us off from winning the treble because you play against very tough teams throughout January, which is the period when there are the most games, so it ends up complicating things,” revealed Vinicius Jr to CNN.
Vinicius Jr and Real Madrid's next assignment will be an away trip to Las Palmas on Thursday what will be their third La Liga match of the season.
