Wayne Rooney is gearing up to joining Derby County as he cut short his vacation to visit the clubs training facility to discuss his role as a coach and player

Wayne Rooney visited Derby County's training complex on Tuesday to talk through plans for his personal fitness programme as he prepares for his move in January. Rooney is expected to undergo a month's worth of personal fitness and conditioning work, in hope that he will be fit and available to play for Derby when his registration becomes valid on January 1, 2020.

He apparently also had healthy discussions with manment about role he will play alongside coaches. Rooney sees role as an excellent opportunity to get coaching experience and be nearer to his family in UK.
