West Ham United players forced to clash with AZ Alkmaar supporters as ugly scenes erupt
The incident erupted after the final whistle when West Ham United ensured their path to a European final after defeating AZ Alkmaar 1-0.

West Ham United reached ir first European final since 1976 as y defeated AZ Alkmaar in second leg of Europa Conference League semifinal. But match got marred by post-match violence as Hammers’ players and ir families were attacked by a section of Alkmar supporters at AFAS Stion. It is second incident in recent times following clashes between Indonesia and Thailand in men’s football final in Souast Asian Games.

Dutch Police and stium stewards eventually restored peace, and police authority issued an official statement. It stated that y would take proper action against perpetrators.
"So far, no arrests have been me. Our aim was to disperse crowd and restore order as quickly as possible, in which we succeeded.

" police will investigate footage of incidents and try to identify supporters. Arrests may follow from this.
"Toger with AZ, municipality of Alkmaar and public prosecution service we will evaluate last night's incidents, which we regret having happened. This kind of behaviour has no place in football."

AZ Alkmaar also issued an apology statement and insisted y will take every possible measure to identify culprits. "Unfortunately, we cannot use word 'supporters' for se people.
"While everyone hoped for a historic European match, it turned into a pitch black evening due to events occurring at referee's final whistle,"

"It turned into a night to reflect on with shame. Not because of football game played, but because of behaviour of some visitors.
"What happened is beyond all bounds. club again sincerely apologises to West Ham and thousands of well minded AZ supporters who have also been inconvenienced by misconduct.
"AZ is a civilised club where sportsmanship and norms and values are paramount. club will do everything possible, toger with authorities involved, to identify se persons and to take appropriate measures."
