Real Madrid vs Atalanta: Will Kylian Mbappe Play Tonight In UEFA Super Cup Final

Real Madrid and Atalanta will be at the loggerheads for the eminent UEFA Super Cup trophy. The match could feature Kylian Mbappe for the first time in white.

UEFA Champions League holders Real Madrid are all set to officially kickstart their season with the match against Europa League holders Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup clash 2024 on Wednesday, August 14th. 

Real Madrid have a chance to win their first silverware and kickstart the new season in style. Heading into the match however, all the eyes are going to be on Real Madrid's star acquisition in Kylian Mbappe as a lot of anticipation surrounds his debut. There is one simple question ahead of the UEFA Super Cup final - Will Kylian Mbappe make his Real Madrid Debut?

Will Kylian Mbappe make his Real Madrid Debut?

Kylian Mbappe missed Real Madrid's pre-season USA tour as he was on vacation due to his involvement in the Euro 2024 semi-final with France. Mbappe joined Real Madrid's training camp only a week prior on August 7th and is yet to have any minutes of Game time. 

But fortunately for Real Madrid fans, manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Kylian Mbappe will be making his Real Madrid debut against Atalanta tonight in the UEFA Super Cup. 

However, Carlo Ancelotti remained coy over whether Kylian Mbappe would start the game or not given he's not had a pre-season under his belt.

Real Madrid's Big injury concern

On the eve of UEFA Super Cup, Real Madrid were rocked with a massive injury concern as their star midfielder in Eduardo Camavinga was knocked down in pain holding his knee after a heavy tackle from teammate Aurelien Tchouameni during training. 

The club officially confirmed that Eduardo Camavinga has picked up a internal collateral ligament injury in the knee and is expected to miss a month's action at the start of the nation.
