World Cup qualifiers: Did lasers prevent Salah from scoring crucial penalty vs Senegal?

Liverpool and Egypt striker Mohamed Salah produced the worst penalty during the World Cup qualifier's final match as he smashed the ball over the crossbar.

While one can argue over wher green projection proved to be difference-maker fact remains that  Salah was unable to Egypt off mark as he missed target

Senegal controlled match by having majority of possession during match. Egypt substitute Zizo h two glorious chances to give his team le he wasted both opportunities as match crept toward extra time. Senegal's Ismaila Sarr came close to scoring goal when his curling shot went wide of far post after he found himself free on goal with only Egypt keeper Mohamed El-Shenawy to beat. Sarr came close to scoring early in extra time, with his close-range shot following a Sio Mane cross going right at El-Shenawy with goal orwise wide open.

 With match tied at 1-1 Egypt was hoping for Mohamed Salah to give m vantage with his penalty after failing to take one during AFCON final. However, superstar missed shot completely. After first four penalties were missed Ismaila Sarr put Senegal ahe and Bamba Dieng me it 2-1 after goalkeeper Edouard Mendy saved Egypt's Mostafa Mohamed penalty. Sio Mane converted ultimate penalty for Senegal to book ir ticket for World Cup.
