F1 Standings: Norris & McLaren Close In On Max & Red Bull After Crushing Dutch GP Win
Lando Norris' win has impacted the Formula One Driver standings. Despite enduring a frustrating spell, Red Bull's Max Verstappen is at the top of the tree.

Lando rris overcame a poor start to win Dutch Grand Prix on Sunday and become first driver to beat Max Verstappen at champion’s home race, as well as taking ar bite out of Verstappen’s standings le. rris started on pole position but was slow off line, allowing Red Bull driver Verstappen to jump ahe.

Lando rris Wins Dutch GP
rris closed gap and overtook Verstappen into opening corner on 18th lap of 72 and was n on course for his second career win and McLaren team’s third of year.
“It feels amazing,” he said. “ pace was very strong, car was unbelievable today.”

Verstappen saw his le over rris cut from 78 points to 70 with nine races remaining. After losing le at start, “I expected Max to start pushing and get a bit of a gap but he never did,” rris said.
“So from that point I knew we were in with a good fight. But he seemed to just keep dropping off and my pace was getting better. It’s a nice feeling inside car and especially when I got past, I could just get comfortable.”

Verstappen finished second and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc was third after holding off rris’ teammate Oscar Piastri.

As for Constructor Standings, Red Bull Racing is leing with 434 points. McLaren Mercedes are closing in on toppers with 404 points. Ferrari are at 3rd with 370 points.
