'Nobody Actually Cares'- Former Formula One Driver SLAMS McLaren's Mentality Amidst Title Fight

McLaren are in a heated championship battle currently with Red Bull for both Drivers Championship and Constructors Championship. Amidst title battle, McLaren now le against Red Bull and Ferrari in Constructors Championship but McLaren's driver Lando Norris has fallen behind to Red Bull's Max Verstappen in Drivers Championship. As re are only three races left in season, McLaren have been slammed by former Formula One driver Jacques Villeneuve for ir mentality and how y are going about Championship battle. 

Lando Norris now sits 62 points behind Max Verstappen in Drivers Championship with three races left of season. 

Jacques Villeneuve Slams McLaren Amidst Championship Battle 

While speaking to PlanetF1, former World Champion questioned McLaren's mentality and statements regarding championship battle. This comes in after, McLaren's Team Boss h given a statement to media saying that McLaren were focusing on Constructors Championship. Villeneuve found se statements weird and questioned team's mentality.

“McLaren said weirdest thing after Brazil, and that was team’s priority, which was not Drivers’ Championship but Constructors’ title. That is very odd. That’s what teams that don’t win say. Ok, Constructors’ title brings you money. But nobody cares about Constructors’," said Villeneuve as he shared a piece of his mind against England. 

‘People Only Remember Who World Champion Driver Was’- Jacques Villeneuve 

Jacques Villeneuve h more to say about McLaren as he furr stated that Constructors Championship is only good on paper and people only remember who World Championship driver was.

"People only remember who World Champion driver was and team linked to that world champion. And ultimately in people’s minds, that’s team that was world champion. constructors is only good on paper and for extra money, it brings to team. That’s about it. Outside of team itself nobody actually cares about it,” said Jacques Villeneuve as he slammed McLaren F1 team.
