Lando Norris has started to make several big headlines in Formula 1 amidst a string of strong performances which have seen him become a race winner twice this season. Lando Norris recently won the Dutch Grand Prix where he beat Max Verstappen by a margin of 22.9 seconds in the defending World Champion's home race. As Norris is currently the biggest threat to Max Verstappen and Red Bull, the McLaren driver has closed the gap between himself and Verstappen to 70 points.
As for the Constructors Championship, McLaren are just 30 points behind Red Bull heading to Monza after Sergio Perez has failed to deliver according to expectations.

Lando Rubs Salt In Verstappen's Wounds
After defeating Max Verstappen by a huge margin of 22.9 seconds, Lando Norris then went and got the extra point for the fastest lap. During the cool down lap, Lando mimicked Verstappen as he took to his radio to say, “Uh-huh...simply lovely."

This mimicking of Verstappen caught the eye of commentator and former driver Martin Brundle who urged that if Norris keeps performing like this he will need his own tagline.
"Lando kept advantage over Verstappen but on those tyres then proceeded to basically check out and win the race at will.

"He was blisteringly fast and underlined this by setting the fastest lap of the race on the final tour to take an extra world championship point and win by a massive 22.9 seconds.\

"To make that even more 'Verstappen like', on the slow down lap on the radio he mimicked his mate Max by saying 'simply lovely'.
"If Lando keeps performing like that he's going to need his own punchline," said Brundle after Lando picked up the win at Zandvoort.
McLaren Appear As Favorites For Constructors Championship
McLaren due to their strong pace and the upgrades they brought in Miami have led the orange team to be the one to beat. McLaren have closed the gap to Red Bull by a ridiculous amount as now only 30-points separate the two teams. Red Bull have dominated F1 for the past two years but this reckoning by McLaren have put them on the back foot.
"What a turnaround this is from what we've witnessed these past two and a half years," said Brundle at the current state of affairs in F1.
