On men’s side, New Zealand, despite winning last edition of Nations Cup, have decided not to join this time. France, runners-up of that same Nations Cup, have me same decision. Consequently, Ireland, finishing on last spot of ir inaugural FIH Hockey Pro League last season will not be relegated and will play ir second consecutive Pro League season.

A “re-run” of Paris 2024 men’s final between Nerlands and Germany and of Paris 2024 women’s semi-final between China and Belgium, in Amsterdam and Hangzhou respectively, will open season in style!

Indian men's hockey team captain and Paris 2024 Bronze medallist Harmanpreet Singh said: “We are eagerly looking forward to new season of FIH Hockey Pro League, where world's top hockey teams compete at highest level. This tournament showcases best of international hockey, and we can't wait to get started. What makes this season particularly special for us is that winners of this season will secure a direct qualification for Men’s and Women's FIH Hockey World Cup 2026, ding even more motivation to our campaign.”

Agostina Alonso, Bronze medallist in Paris with Las Leonas said: “Argentina’s expectations are always high. We love to compete and try to give our best in every match. This tournament is a fantastic opportunity to provide valuable playing time and build confidence in our younger players while strengning our playing system. What we enjoy most is traveling toger. We have a great group, and we truly cherish moments we share both on and off field.”
