Hockey India announces 22-member squad for National Coaching Camp
Ahead of the FIH Olympic Qualifiers, Indian Hockey announced a 22-member squad for the National Coaching Camp. India will play against Russia in the qualifiers.

Ahead of the upcoming FIH Olympic Qualifiers in October-November, on Sunday, Hockey India announced a 22-member squad for the National Coaching Camp in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. After a successful outing in Belgium, where the team won all the games they played, India are high on confidence and eye to win both the games in the qualifying matches. India will play Russia on November 1 and November 2 as a part of the qualifiers for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

India's successful tour of Belgium
The National Coaching Camp is scheduled to begin on October 14 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar with Chief Coach Graham Reid looking directly over the players. After beating Belgium thrice and registering two wins over Spain, Coach Reid said that there were a lot of takeaways from the tour of Belgium. "I think the wins in Belgium will surely boost the morale of the team and will also contribute towards the qualifiers against Russia," he said. "There were a lot of takeaways from the tour and I am confident that the team is ready to play against Russia," he added. Coach Graham Reid further added that the team showed good intensity and scored field goals as well as penalty corners which shows how good the tour was. "Matches against quality teams like Spain and Belgium help you get the confidence needed for such matches like the qualifier against Russia. The Coaching Camp will focus more on keeping the momentum and getting used to the conditions in Bhubaneswar."

PR Sreejesh, Krishan Bahadur Pathak, Harmanpreet Singh, Varun Kumar, Surender Kumar, Birendra Lakra, Rupinder Pal Singh, Gurinder Singh, Amit Rohidas, Kothajit Singh, Manpreet Singh, Hardik Singh, Nilakanta Sharma, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Simranjeet Singh, Akashdeep Singh, Ramandeep Singh, SV Sunil, Mandeep Singh, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Gursahibjit Singh, Shamsher Singh. FIH Olympic Qualifiers will take place on November 1 and 2 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
