After an exceptional win over China at Women's ACT, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has heaped praise over Hockey India side for their third title win.

Indian Women's Hockey Team did wonders at Rajgir, Bihar after y rallied through China and defeated m at Women's Asian Champions Trophy Final. Indian side showcased utter dominance throughout tournament and eventually emerged as queens as y lifted title for third time. exceptional win received praise from all over as y capped off a nail-biting finish over side. After Team India Women's side defeated China at Women's Asian Champions Trophy Final in Rajgir, Prime Minister of India sent out a congratulatory tweet for victorious side. PM Narendra Modi applauded players for accomplishment and also said that y played exceptionally well in tournament. Indian Prime Minister also said win would help motivate several up-and-coming athletes.

"A phenomenal accomplishment! Congratulations to our hockey team on winning Women's Asian Champions Trophy. y played exceptionally well through tournament. ir success will motivate many upcoming athletes," PM Modi tweeted on 'X' [Formerly known as Twitter].

Speaking of match, with an exciting 1-0 victory in final, Indian women's hockey team successfully defended ir Asian Champions Trophy title, defeating Olympic silver medallist China. In final, which took place in Rajgir, Bihar, Indian team showed tenacity and resolve by defeating China. With 11 goals, young striker Deepika finished as tournament's top scorer. She scored India's winning goal from a penalty corner in 31st minute.

Earlier in tournament, India h blown China away 3-0 in league stages. After taking home top honours in 2016 and 2023, it was India's third ACT championship.

China will have to be content with finishing as third runners-up. Earlier in day, Japan defeated Malaysia 4-1 in third-fourth-place classification match, securing third place on podium.
