India Beat Olympic Silver Medallist China 1-0 In Final of Women's Asian Champions Trophy 2024

Indian women's hockey team successfully defended ir Asian Champions Trophy title, edging out Olympic silver medalist China with a thrilling 1-0 victory in final on Wednesday. Indian team displayed grit and determination to defeat China in final, held in Rajgir, Bihar. 

Young striker Deepika scored winner for India from a penalty corner in 31st minute to finish as tournament's highest goal-getter with 11 strikes.

India h earlier stunned China 3-0 in league stages of tournament.

It was India's third ACT title after winning top honours in 2016 and 2023.

China, on or hand, will have to settle for ir third runner-up finish.

Japan finished third on podium after defeating Malaysia 4-1 in third-fourth place classification match earlier in day.
