Indian men's hockey team on Thursday produced an attacking masterclass to outclass reigning World and European Champions Belgium 5-1 in fifth and final match and maintain a hundred percent record in ir Tour of Belgium.
A successful tour of Belgium
World 5 India won all five matches during Tour, beating Belgium 2-0 in opening match, and registering 6-1 and 5-1 wins over Spain in next two games, before finishing off ir Tour with two more wins (2-1 and 5-1). In fifth match on Thursday, Simranjeet Singh (7th), Lalit Kumar Uphyay (35th), Vivek Sagar Pras (36th), Harmanpreet Singh (42nd) and Ramandeep Singh (43rd) — all scored a goal each to earn a scintillating victory for Indian team.

Brimming with confidence after an invincible run, India started match on front foot and produced a stunning move in 7th minute to take le through forward Simranjeet. Belgium did try to force a comeback but ir Penalty Corner was saved by Krishan B Pathak in 9th minute, helping India to maintain ir one-goal vant at first break. second quarter saw World . 2 Belgium win back-to-back Penalty Corners in 16th minute, but India's Pathak me sure that ir le stayed intact.

It was a difficult period for Indian team as Belgium tried to look for equaliser. However, some resolute defending saw India take ir le into half-time break. visitors started third quarter with attacking intent and were rewarded immediately, with Lalit Kumar Uphyay bagging his first goal of match in 35th minute to extend India's le to 2-0. Ar attack in next minute saw youngster Vivek Sagar Pras also register his name on score-sheet as he produced a crafty finish to beat Belgian Goalkeeper. 38th minute saw Belgium penetrate and win a Penalty Corner, but PR Sreejesh's diving saves kept score down to 3-0 in India's favor. However, a brilliant strike from retake by Alexander Hendrickx me it 3-1 in 39th minute.

India outclass World Champions
Belgium could t stay in match for too long as India scored twice in two minutes just before end of third quarter to extend ir le to 5-1. India's fourth goal was scored by drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh, who converted a Penalty Corner in 42nd minute, while fifth goal came through Ramandeep Singh, who scored in 43rd minute to finish off a great team move. Playing at home, World Champions tried to make inros into Indian striking circle but some strong tackling and interceptions in last quarter meant that Indians maintained ir 100% record in five matches.
