Indian men's hockey team return from Belgium with 100% tour record

Indian men’s hockey team has returned to India after winning all five matches in their Belgium tour. In their last match they thrashed the home team by 5-1.

Indian men’s hockey team has returned to India after winning all five matches in ir Belgium tour. During ir tour, y defeated Belgium 2-0 in opening match and registered 6-1 and 5-1 wins over Spain in next two games. In ir last match y thrashed  World and European Champions Belgium 5-1. Maintaining 100% record in Belgium tour, in fifth and last match on Thursday, Simranjeet Singh (7th), Lalit Kumar Uphyay (35th), Vivek Sagar Pras (36th), Harmanpreet Singh (42nd), and Ramandeep Singh (43rd) scored a goal each to earn victory for Indian team. 

Team’s play in first half 

India scored its first goal in seventh minute of game as forward Simranjeet took le. At first break, India mand to maintain le as Krishan B Pathak saved a penalty corner by Belgium. In second quarter by 16th minute, team Belgium won back to back corners, but Indian team me sure that ir le stayed intact. Belgium’s effort to equalise  game was ongoing, but India through its strong defence maintained its le till half-time.

Raining goals in second half 

In 35th minute of match, India started game with an intent to attack. Lalit Kumar Uphyay scored his first goal. In next minute, Vivek Sagar Pras was seen extending India’s le by 3-0. R Sreejesh's dived and saved a penalty corner in 38th minute of game. However, Alexander Hendrickx from Belgium scored a goal by hitting a brilliant strike at 39th minute. Later in next two minutes, India scored a goal twice before end of third quarter. fourth goal was scored by Harmanpreet Singh, who converted a Penalty Corner in 42nd minute. Ramandeep Singh, on or hand, scored fifth goal in 43rd minute. Strong tackling and interceptions from team India’s side led m to win game and maintain a 100% record in five matches.
