However, with latest Cor McGregor retirement being his third in four years, fans on social media are t convinced if this is last of McGregor in UFC. Amid all speculation, 'Is Cor McGregor retiring for real?' seems to be big question that needs to be answered.

Cor McGregor appeared to have thought retirement through before making big anuncement. Irish MMA fighter shared a picture of himself alongside his mor as he bid goodbye to octagon once it for all. Going furr back in time, in 2016, he retired for first time after he claimed he wanted to "retire young". It's pretty well-kwn how his last two retirements fared. But, could this be time McGregor bids farewell to sport for real? Especially considering he has been inside octagon just once in previous 18 months.

Despite him desperately wanting to face Khabib once again, McGregor has decided to retire citing "he's bored of game" as a primary reason. "I'm a bit bored of game. I watched last show - (Tyron) Woodley v (Gilbert) Burns show. I'm just t excited about game," he told ESPN. "I don't kw if it's crowd. I don't kw what it is. re's just buzz for me."

Apart from his fleeting interest in sport, Cor McGregor is also enjoying success in his various business ventures. August McGregor - his fashion partnership with tailoring brand David August - was launched right before his boxing showdown against Floyd Maywear. McGregor's Proper . Twelve Irish Whiskey is also reportedly a huge success in his native Ireland and United States. It's perfectly understandable if 31-year-old wants to focus on his business ventures, making a retirement decision plausible.

If McGregor does actually retire, he would finish his career with a record of 22 wins and four defeats. His last win came in January 2020, when he beat 'Cowboy' Donald Cerrone in just 40 seconds. He will leave sport ranked eighth on UFC pound-for-pound list.
