After more than two months and over 100 matches of thrilling action, Pro Kabaddi League 2019 has already witnessed many thrilling contests and exceptional individual performances. The seventh season of PKL, which kicked-off on July 20, has completed 105 of the 135 scheduled matches so far. With an off-day on Tuesday, the competition is all set to resume with Wednesday’s double-header at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur. PKL auction will kick-off with Telugu Titans vs Bengal Warriors at 19:30 IST which will be followed by Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Puneri Paltan an hour later. With more than two-thirds of the tournament already completed, Dabang Delhi continues to lead the table. Meanwhile, Jaipur Pink Panthers and Puneri Paltan are placed at seventh and eighth position respectively.

With just seven wins in 18 matches, the Pink Panthers are placed seventh on the points table. It’s a tough road ahead for the Rajasthan-based side as they need to win all their remaining matches to entertain any chances of qualifying for the playoffs. The Panther squad, however, will enjoy the home advantage in today’s game and will also take confidence from the fact that Jaipur defeated the Surjeet Singh-led side in their previous encounter this season. The match was held at the Arena during the Ahmedabad leg of the tournament.

Pro Kabaddi: Puneri Paltan

With six wins and nine defeats in their 18 games so far, the Pune-based side are placed eighth in the current standings. Like Pink Panthers, the Paltan too have to win all their remaining games to qualify for the playoffs. The Surjeet Singh-led side needs to step-up their game tonight as they lost their previous contest to the 2014 winners. Puneri Paltan lost that game by 33-25 on August 15.

Going forward, every game is a crucial contest for both sides as none of these two teams can afford another hiccup in the ongoing tournament. The match is scheduled for October 25 at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur. The contest will start at 20:30 IST, i.e. immediately after the end of tonight’s first of the double-header games.
