Jones, who currently looks at his physical peak shared post with caption: “240lbs never felt so good, should be ready in next few months”. He concluded statement by writing ‘#AndNew,’ hinting that he has his eyes set on prestigious heavyweight belt which is currently in hands of Stipe Miocic.

Earlier, Jones was in talks to make his heavyweight debut against Francis Nganu, but that fight never materialised. He was n rumoured to trade hands with Stipe Miocic, but UFC President Dana White made it clear that Stipe Miocic will defend his title against Predator next. w, various reports claimed that Jon Jones could face winner of Stipe Miocic vs Francis Nganu, which is allegedly set for March 2021.

Stipe Miocic and Francis Nganu have faced each or once in past at UFC 220, where Stipe Miocic retained his belt via unanimous decision (50–44, 50–44, 50–44). Jon Jones, on or hand, moved heavyweight division after vacating his light-heavyweight title earlier this year. His last fight was against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 where he won via unanimous decision (48–47, 48–47, 49–46).

When asked about same on Twitter, pound-for-pound juggernaut made it clear that he’s focused on winning heavyweight belt. He claimed he has been in a host of super fights and a fight with Israel Adesanya or Jan Blachowicz “does thing for my legacy”.
