All-round Performance Led By Aslam Inamdar, Gaurav Khatri Helps Puneri Paltan To Win Over U Mumba

It was business as usual for Puneri Paltan, who beat U Mumba 35-28 in 'Maha Maharashtra Derby' at GMCB Indoor Stium in Hyderab on Sunday. Skipper Aslam Inamdar was ir hero once again, with 10 points (9 Raid Points) in his kitty, and was ably supported by Gaurav Khatri (7 Tackle Points) and Mohit Goyat (9 Raid Points). On or hand, Ajit Chavan won 9 Raid Points for U Mumba.  

An even start to derby clash saw two sides winning early points. For Puneri Paltan, skipper Aslam Inamdar was in peak form, regularly getting U Mumba players off mat. However, opposing skipper and defender Sunil Kumar was equally effective, and with only three U Mumba players on mat, he trapped Pankaj Mohite for a Super Tackle.

Puneri Paltan found ir groove as first half went on and got ir first ALL OUT after Mohit Goyat entered party. Playing in tandem with his skipper Inamdar, Goyat won consecutive points, and ir combined raiding prowess ensured that Puneri Paltan h a six-point le heing into second half as score re 22-16.

Gaurav Khatri completed a well-earned High 5 early in second half as Puneri Paltan continued to extend ir le over ir rivals. But U Mumba kept pressure on, as Amirmohamm Zafardanesh caught Pankaj Mohite in a Do-Or-Die raid, and n Ajit did well to get Abinesh Narajan off mat.

Despite this, Puneri Paltan were in driving seat throughout game. For every point won by Ajit Chavan for U Mumba, y h to deal with likes of Mohit Goyat and Akash Shinde. final nail in coffin was a Super Raid from Mohit – who got Rinku, Sombir and Ajit in a single raid – as defending champions went on to secure ir fourth win of season.
